Watford have made a bid for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, according to reports.
Berahino was involved in one of the longest-running transfer sagas last summer following a breakthrough season that saw him score 14 Premier League goals for the Baggies.
West Brom refused to allow the 22-year-old to leave The Hawthorns despite strong interest from Tottenham Hotspur, and Berahino went on to make just 17 league starts throughout the 2015-16 campaign, scoring four goals.
He has once again been linked with a move away from the club this summer, and Sky Sports News reports that Watford have entered the race with a formal bid for the striker.
The Hornets are understood to have rejected an offer of around £20m from Leicester City for Troy Deeney yesterday and could be eyeing Berahino as cover for the captain and Odion Ighalo.
