Tony Pulis: 'West Bromwich Albion deserve Aston Villa win'

West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis feels that his side fully deserve their 1-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League this afternoon.

West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis has suggested that his side fully deserved to beat Aston Villa in their derby clash this afternoon.

The Baggies won 1-0 at Villa Park after a first-half goal from Saido Berahino, and Pulis suggested the match was made for the striker, who made his first start for the club since a 0-0 draw with Watford on August 15.

"Villa can have no complaints - we deserved this. The game was made for Saido, he was desperate to play," Pulis told reporters after the match.

"We were first class. I thought [Darren] Fletcher and [James] Morrison bossed the game - they were outstanding.

"Credit also to our fans for how they supported Saido."

West Brom will take on Norwich City in the League Cup on Wednesday evening.
