West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie has revealed that he will only leave the Hawthorns for a "top team".
The 30-year-old was recently the subject of a reported £4m bid from Wigan Athletic but Baggies manager Roy Hodgson turned down the offer.
The Nigerian international has two years remaining on his current West Brom contract but has so far failed to agree terms on an extension.
However, Odemwingie has moved to reassure West Brom supporters that he is not actively looking to exit the club and has insisted that a new deal has been discussed.
"To my dear WBA supporters. I love this club and will only leave to a TOP team, which is understandable," he said on Twitter.
"Nothing abnormal is going on.
"Contract is not signed because of the duration of it. Figures were agreed a long time ago because I know this is not Real Madrid. Please be patient."
Odemwingie joined West Brom in 2010 from Lokomotiv Moscow.
