Zoltan Gera is expected to decide on his future within the next few days.
The Hungarian international has been in talks to return to West Bromwich Albion, where he spent four years from 2004, when his Fulham contract expires at the end of this week. However, an unknown Italian side is also a potential destination.
“The negotiations are in a period where we can agree [with a club] any time,” his agent Vladan Filipovic is quoted as saying.
“It can happen that Gera’s future will be decided next day - or we could close the negotiations next week. But it’s not a secret that we are at the finish.”
A Hawthorns return would reunite the 32-year-old with Baggies manager Roy Hodgson, who had signed him to Fulham in 2008 during his managerial stint there.
