Andy Carroll 'can't wait' to work under new West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic

Andy Carroll admits that he "cannot wait" to play under the guidance of new West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic.

Andy Carroll believes that Slaven Bilic's arrival as West Ham United's new manager is a "great" appointment.

The former Besiktas boss will lead the Hammers' Premier League campaign next season after replacing Sam Allardyce on Tuesday.

Carroll missed the majority of the 2014-15 campaign due to injury woes, but he is already looking ahead to getting back on the pitch under Bilic.

"I think it has been a great appointment," Carroll told the club's official website. "I have spoken to the lads and everyone seems to be happy with it.

"He plays a lot of attacking football and I have seen the teams he has been coaching and they love to go out and attack. That is a great feeling for me and I cannot wait to get started.

"It is interesting to see how he is on the touchline. Different managers have got different styles and this will be very different to what we have had in the past, but it will be very interesting."

The first signing under Bilic's regime was made on Wednesday when Pedro Obiang joined the club from Sampdoria.
