West Ham United co-owner David Gold has suggested that Modibo Maiga will be given the chance to resurrect his career with the Hammers.
The 27-year-old striker has fallen out of favour at Upton Park in recent seasons and has been loaned out to Queens Park Rangers and Metz in the past two campaigns.
However, Gold has hinted that the Mali international will start with a clean slate under new manager Slaven Bilic this summer.
"Maiga is in the pre-season squad. It's up to him and Slaven to decide what will happen. He will get his chance," Gold wrote on Twitter.
Maiga, who joined West Ham in 2012, scored nine goals in 25 appearances for Metz in Ligue 1 last season.
