Mark Noble pleased with squad strength

Mark Noble hopes that West Ham United's squad strength will keep the club at the top end of the Premier League table for as long as possible.

West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble has said that he wants to keep the Hammers at the top end of the Premier League table for as long as possible.

The Hammers moved up to fourth in the league on Saturday, despite being held to a goalless draw at Upton Park by Aston Villa.

Noble believes that, with several players returning from injury, the club are in a good position to continue their strong start to the season.

"It's a very good squad with a lot of competition for places. We've got to thrive off that competition and want to get better," Noble told West Ham's official website.

"It's been a successful period for us since the last international break. We came back from Stoke after a big performance and got another point on Saturday, but most importantly a clean sheet and a good performance."

West Ham face Everton after the international break on November 22.
