Kevin Nolan feels that West Ham United were "unlucky" not to claim all three points at home to Stoke City tonight.

West Ham United captain Kevin Nolan has said that his team were "unlucky" not to win tonight's Premier League encounter with Stoke City.

The Potters had been the better team in the first half and led at the break thanks to Jonathan Walters.

However, Sam Allardyce's men recovered to claim a 1-1 draw, which means that they remain seventh in the table.

Nolan said that he was pleased with a point after going a goal down but feels that they should have won the game.

"We were unlucky in the end," BBC Sport quote Nolan as saying. "We created enough chances to win it.

"I was guilty of two missed opportunities, but it's a great result after going 1-0 down to these guys. It was a good game. A great point in the end."

The Hammers travel to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham Hotspur next Sunday.
