Harry Redknapp to make West Ham United return as Sam Allardyce replacement?

Harry Redknapp is reportedly being lined up as West Ham United's new manager if the club decide to sack current boss Sam Allardyce.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has been widely tipped to return to West Ham United if the club decide to part ways with current boss Sam Allardyce.

Doubts over Allardyce's future at Upton Park have been rumbling due to their precarious position in the Premier League table, which currently holds the Hammers in the second from bottom spot.

The former Championship outfit were also knocked out of the FA Cup at the weekend due to a 5-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the third round.

Despite rumours over Allardyce's position, the club's co-chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold gave their public backing to their coach yesterday.

However, bookmakers' favourite Redknapp would be at the top of the list of contenders to replace Allardyce, according to The Express.

Redknapp managed the Hammers for seven years before leaving in 2001.
