West Ham United have reached an agreement with free agent Mohamed Diame.
The 25-year-old will sign a three-year contract with the Hammers once his deal with Wigan Athletic expires on July 1.
Discussing the midfielder's arrival with the club's official website, manager Sam Allardyce believes that he has made a "very exciting addition" to his playing ranks.
"His potential is really good and he's ready to go and compete in the first team straight away as he's had three years in the Premier League already," said Allardyce.
"He's 25 and can only get better and I hope he can go on to prove that to me and all of the West Ham United fans. He will be a very exciting addition to the squad."
Diame has become West Ham's third signing of the summer, following confirmed deals for Stephen Henderson and Jussi Jaaskelainen.
