West Ham United defender Reece Oxford has joined Bundesliga side Augsburg on loan until the end of the season.
Oxford broke into the West Ham first team at the age of just 16 but has struggled to hold down a regular place in the side, making only 16 further appearances in the past three-and-a-half seasons.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, where he made eight appearances, and he will now return to Germany for a second stint.
Oxford has put pen to paper on a contract which will keep him at Augsburg until the summer, and he could make his debut for the club during Sunday's match against Mainz 05.
Augsburg currently sit just one spot above the relegation playoff place in the German top flight, with one point separating them from safety.
