Victor Moses and Wigan Athletic have begun discussions over a new contract, the player's agent has confirmed.
The 20-year-old, who joined Wigan in 2010, has become a regular in Roberto Martinez's starting lineup this season.
The Nigerian-born attacker has 18 months remaining on his current deal and the club are keen to tie him to the DW Stadium with a long-term contract.
"We had the first round of talks last week," his agent Tony Finnigan told Sky Sports News.
"We met with the club, and talks are are ongoing.
"Victor is enjoying playing at the moment and that is the main thing."
Moses spent three years with Crystal Palace before making the switch to the Latics.
