Adam Le Fondre calls for instant Wolverhampton Wanderers response

Adam Le Fondre says that Wolverhampton Wanderers must pick themselves up following defeat at Derby County in order to show the "big character" of the squad.

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Adam Le Fondre has admitted that his side must quickly bounce back from their defeat at Derby County.

The on-loan forward's goal proved a mere consolation as the Rams ran out 4-2 winners at the iPro Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Following the latest setback in Wolves' season, coming on the back of successive league wins, Le Fondre has stressed the importance of making a quick response over the next week.

"We've got to react now as a team and show big character, it's what the Championship's all about," he is quoted as saying by the Shropshire Star.

"There are two quality teams coming up, Brentford were fantastic last season and have had an indifferent start and changed manager, but they're always going to pose a threat.

"Obviously Middlesbrough are not too dissimilar to Derby in that they've spent a lot of money and have a lot of quality and will be a good test for us at home. But on the day our team's brilliant at home. If we cut out the defensive errors as a team we'll be right up there."

Wolves are currently five points off the top six, having won four and drawn three of their first 11 games.
