Adam Le Fondre "looking forward" to Bolton Wanderers return

Adam Le Fondre admits to being grateful to Neil Lennon for helping to put his career back on track during a loan spell at Bolton Wanderers last season.

Adam Le Fondre has admitted that he is relishing his return to Bolton Wanderers this weekend after getting his career back on track at the Macron Stadium.

The 28-year-old spent time on loan with the Trotters last season, having fallen out of favour at Cardiff City.

Le Fondre, now temporarily plying his trade at Wolverhampton Wanderers, admits that he is "looking forward" to the chance to run out against his former side this weekend, but is adamant that collecting three points is the only thought on his mind.

"It felt like I was there for longer than the three months that it was with how it went and how the fans treated me," he is quoted as saying by the Express & Star.

"I had a great time there and it really reinvigorated me and re-established me. I really enjoyed my football there and was scoring goals again. I can't thank Bolton and Neil Lennon enough for the opportunity they gave me, but there can be no mixed feelings.

"On Saturday, I will be going back and giving my all to try and get a result for Wolves. I want to score in any game, whoever I am playing against and while I am looking forward to going to the Macron Stadium again, it is about trying to score and help Wolves to the three points."

Le Fondre scored eight goals during his three months on loan at Bolton, while he managed to get off the mark for Wolves in their last Championship outing.
