Tony Pulis is expected to make Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey his first signing as Crystal Palace manager.
Pulis, who took charge at Selhurst Park in November, apparently wants to bring in competition for long-term Eagles number one Julian Speroni in the transfer window.
Hennessey is thought to be available for a reasonable price after failing to feature for Wolves this season, although he did make 12 appearances in a loan spell at Yeovil Town earlier in the campaign.
He has since returned to the West Midlands outfit, but signalled that his Molineux career was over by refusing to play for Kenny Jackett's side in their League One clash with Gillingham on Friday.
Jackett has indicated that the 26-year-old's decision may have been influenced by interest in him from another club, and the Daily Mail reports that it is Palace who are close to signing the Welsh international.
Hennessey missed all of last season for Wolves with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
