Wolverhampton Wanderers allegedly had a scout present for Porto's fixture with Portimonense at the weekend.
Since the arrival of head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, Wolves have assembled a large Portuguese contingent at Molineux.
The Premier League outfit have also continually been linked with players from that country, including those who represent the likes of Porto and Benfica.
According to Record, Wolves had a scout at Porto's most recent top-flight outing, potentially to watch targets ahead of the January transfer window.
Wolves currently find themselves in 19th position in the standings as a result of registering no wins and three draws from their opening five matches.
Unless the West Midlands side improve over the coming months, Nuno will likely be given the funds to make changes to his squad.
