Jason Scotland has started a training stint with National League side Wrexham.
The 36-year-old, who has played for the likes of Swansea City, Wigan Athletic and Ipswich Town, is a free agent following his release by Hamilton Academical at the end of last season.
He is yet to join another club, but the striker has now been handed the chance to impress Wrexham manager Gary Mills.
The Dragons are currently short of attacking options following confirmation that leading goalscorer James Gray will be sidelined for a number of weeks with a broken hand.
Scotland was included in the Trinidad & Tobago squad that competed at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
