Hulk insists that he is happy with the start to his Zenit St. Petersburg career despite the unrest at the Russian club caused by his arrival.

Brazilian striker Hulk has insisted that he is settling in well at Zenit St. Petersburg despite the public unrest at the club.

Russian captain Igor Denisov was critical of Hulk's arrival, claiming that the £32m fee paid was far in excess of his valuation.

Both Denisov and Alexander Kerzhakov, who also voiced his concerns, have since been banished to the reserves for their comments, but Hulk has revealed that he has no issue with the native pair.

"I don't have problems with anyone. I'm just trying to do my job the best way I can. I'm very happy that I've been useful for my team by scoring goals," he told R-Sport magazine.

Hulk has said that is generally happy with his start to life at Zenit and while he has admitted that the language barrier is not ideal, the 26-year-old is convinced he will adapt to Russian life in the near future.

"I think I'll adapt eventually, but no doubt the fact they speak a different language in Russia creates some difficulties," he said.

"Still, I feel the atmosphere is great at the team. I'm happy for playing for Zenit, absolutely everyone supports me. I'm trying to adapt to the team and to Zenit in general as soon as possible".

Hulk as been capped 16 times by the Brazilian senior side, scoring five goals.
