NFL agent Jack Betcha has revealed that he is keeping a close eye on the Rugby World Cup in the hope of persuading "three to five" players to switch sports.
A number of high-profile players have been linked with a move to the NFL over the years, while Betcha was key in Jarryd Hayne's decision to leave rugby league to become a running back for the San Francisco 49ers.
Betcha has already been to three games at the tournament and he believes that he can find candidates to make the trip to the US.
"I'm actively scouting and trying to identify three to five guys who potentially fit the profile of an NFL player," he told ESPN.
"Rugby players are better-conditioned athletes than NFL players - from a toughness, training standpoint they won't have any problems making the transfer."
Hayne earned a spot on San Francisco's 53-man roster for this season after signing a three-year deal in March.
