Top-seed Novak Djokovic eased past Russia-born Andrey Golubev in a swift 6-3 6-2 win at the Indian Wells Masters.
The Serb played reserved tennis early on before turning it up a gear and destroying Golubev's serve to break and lead 3-1.
The world 145 caused a shock by breaking back in game seven but his joy was short-lived, as Djokovic broke straight back and closed out the first set.
The final set was business as usual for Djokovic, as he dominated on his own serve and broke twice to seal a comfortable passage through to round three.
