Juan Carlos Ferrero to coach Nicolas Almagro?

Former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero is expected to coach Spanish compatriot Nicolas Almagro on a part-time basis next season.

Former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero will reportedly coach Spanish compatriot Nicolas Almagro on a part-time basis next season.

Ferrero retired from the professional circuit following defeat against Almagro in October, but he had revealed a desire to remain in the game in a coaching capacity.

Almagro, 27, is currently ranked at number 11 in the world, but he has thus far failed to make it past the quarter-final stage of any Grand Slam tournament.

Ferrero is expected to join Almagro in Mexico for the ATP tour event next February.
