Roger Federer has cruised into the semi-finals of the Swiss Indoors in Basel with a straight-sets victory over Benoit Paire.
It took the Swiss top seed just 30 minutes to claim the opening set 6-2 against the French world number 46.
Federer, who has won the tournament a previous five times, was in total control throughout the match and completed the rout 6-2 in 55 minutes.
He will now face Paul-Henri Mathieu for a place in the final after the Frenchman recorded a surprise win over Grigor Dimitrov.
