Arsenal have reportedly begun preliminary talks with manager Arsene Wenger over a new contract.
Wenger has just one year left on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium, leading to rumours of a switch to coach Paris Saint-Germain next summer.
The 63-year-old has given the club positive feedback following early talks but will wait until at least next month before making any firm decision, according to The Mirror.
Since taking charge of the Gunners in 1996, Wenger has lifted three Premier League titles and four FA Cups but is without a major trophy success since 2005.
Wenger is reportedly close to breaking the club's transfer record in a bid to end that drought, with Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain on the verge of a £23m move.
