Shakhtar Donetsk have reportedly placed a £30m price-tag on Shakhtar Donetsk defender Mykola Matviyenko.
Having lost the services of Calum Chambers due to a long-term knee injury, Mikel Arteta is eager to sign a new centre-back before the end of January.
Earlier this week, Matviyenko's agent Yuriy Danchenko revealed that the Gunners were in discussions with Shakhtar over a deal for the 23-year-old.
However, Sky Sports News claims that the Ukrainian giants have demanded £30m for one of their key men.
That stance could potentially end Arsenal's interest in the player until at least the summer, with the North London outfit preferring to sign him on a temporary basis.
Matviyenko has less than 18 months remaining on his contract.
