Atalanta BC and Chelsea have reportedly scheduled a meeting to discuss a move for out-of-favour Blues striker Tammy Abraham.
The 23-year-old has struggled for opportunities at Stamford Bridge since the appointment of Thomas Tuchel and will fall further down the pecking order with the imminent arrival of Romelu Lukaku.
As a result, Abraham is widely expected to complete a move elsewhere this summer, with Arsenal, West Ham United and Southampton all tipped to do battle for his signature.
However, with Lukaku's Inter Milan exit set to trigger a transfer merry-go round, journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Atalanta directors will hold talks with the Chelsea board in London 'in the next 48 hours'.
Atalanta's Duvan Zapata is thought to be on Inter's list of potential replacements for Lukaku, and Romano states that Atalanta will submit an offer for the £34m-rated Abraham if Zapata does head to San Siro.
Abraham's Chelsea deal is due to expire in 2023, and he registered 12 goals and six assists from 32 games in all competitions during the 2020-21 season.
