Barcelona 'scout Lazio's Luis Alberto'

Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez scouts Lazio winger Luis Alberto with a view to a move next summer, according to a report.

Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez has reportedly been scouting Lazio winger Luis Alberto in recent weeks as the Catalan giants consider a move for the 25-year-old.

Alberto has scored four times and registered seven assists in 15 Serie A appearances for Lazio this season.

The former Liverpool winger also made his Spain debut last month after La Roja coach Julen Lopetegui rewarded his impressive club form with a call-up to the national team.

According to Marca, Barcelona sporting director Fernandez has been asked to provide in-depth reports of Alberto's form with the view to a potential move at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

Alberto scored 11 times in 38 league appearances for Barcelona B during the 2012-13 season before joining Liverpool.
