Bolton Wanderers lead Watford 2-0 at the interval of their Championship encounter at the Reebok Stadium.
Bolton took the lead after just three minutes when Matt Mills was on hand to head a Chris Eagles cross into the back of the net.
The home side continued to dominate the early stages and Keith Andrews twice fired over the bar with 15 minutes on the clock.
Watford were not without their chances, however, and Mark Yeates struck wide of the post after 22 minutes before Almen Abdi also went close.
It might have been 2-0 late in the half when Marcos Alonso struck from distance, but his effort moved wide of the post.
There was time for one final chance, and Kevin Davies made it 2-0 to the home side with a cool finish moments before the break.
