Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leicester City

Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's FA Cup final with Leicester City at Wembley.

Chelsea will aim to go one better in this season's FA Cup as they gear up for Saturday's final against Leicester City in front of 21,000 spectators at Wembley.

The Blues missed out on lifting the prestigious trophy last season as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the final, and they head into this battle having just lost to the Gunners 1-0 in the Premier League.

Thomas Tuchel will lead his side out as he endeavours to claim his first piece of silverware in the Chelsea dugout, with Saturday's showpiece event representing Chelsea's 15th appearance in the final.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the final.

Possible return date: May 15 (vs. Leicester)

Tuchel ruled Mateo Kovacic out of the defeat to Arsenal as he recuperates from a thigh problem, and he is facing a race to be fit in time for Wembley.

Andreas Christensen

Andreas Christensen's thigh injury is not as serious as initially thought, Tuchel confirmed, and the German boss hopes to have the centre-back available either on Saturday or for next week's Premier League meeting with the Foxes.

N'Golo Kante

Tuchel revealed after the defeat to Arsenal that N'Golo Kante was left out due to pain in the Achilles area, but Chelsea will hope that an extended rest has given the midfielder the best chance possible of being fit for the final.
