Pat Nevin expects Juan Cuadrado success at Chelsea

Former Chelsea midfielder Pat Nevin believes that deadline-day signing Juan Cuadrado will settle in quickly at the club.

Former Chelsea midfielder Pat Nevin has backed Juan Cuadrado to settle in quickly at the club.

The Colombian international winger joined the Blues from Fiorentina on deadline day for an initial fee of £23.3m.

Despite having a wealth of world-class stars battling for places in Chelsea's midfield, Nevin believes that the 26-year-old will have a positive impact at Stamford Bridge.

"Sometimes it is hard to know exactly what a new player will do and it doesn't always work out perfectly. I do not think he will shrink from the challenges ahead, even if he does have to try to dislodge Willian, Oscar or Hazard," the Scot told the club's official website.

Chelsea currently sit five points clear of champions Manchester City at the top the Premier League table.
