Chelsea are allegedly planning to spend another £100m on three more players before the end of the January transfer window.

Chelsea allegedly have plans to spend at least another £100m in the January transfer window.

The Blues hierarchy, fronted by co-owner Todd Boehly, have shelled out unprecedented amounts of money over a short period since their takeover was completed at the end of May.

Having paid approximately £273m on a number of additions in the summer, that has continued in recent weeks with Chelsea already nearing £150m at the midway point of the campaign.

On the back of signing David Datro Fofana, Andrey Santos and Benoit Badiashile, it was confirmed on Sunday that the West Londoners had completed the acquisition of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk for £88m.

With Chelsea now possessing a heavily-inflated squad, the expectation is that solutions will be found for a number of players currently in the first-team group.

However, according to Football Insider, the Chelsea's hierarchy and recruitment team have no plans to stop spending.

The report says that it is currently the club's intention to bolster Graham Potter's squad with another three additions over the next two weeks.

Although any deal for Benfica's Enzo Fernandez now appears unlikely, Chelsea have been heavily linked with a wide array of other players.

The most speculation is surrounding their efforts to sign PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke, with discussions having already been held between the relevant parties.

Chelsea are also said to be attempting to negotiate a deal for Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Marcus Thuram, who has less than six months left on his contract.

There is also said to be interest in Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo and Real Madrid youngster Rafa Marin.

Potter's team got back to winning ways on Sunday as they recorded a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Although Chelsea remain in 10th spot in the standings, they have now closed the gap to fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur to five points.
