Former Everton striker Gary Lineker believes that David Moyes will be a "tough act to follow" when he leaves the club for Manchester United.

Former Everton striker Gary Lineker believes that the club will find it difficult to find a new manager who can match the talent of David Moyes.

The Merseyside outfit have relinquished the services of their long-standing manager to Manchester United, who have captured the Scotsman on a six-year deal.

Lineker wrote on Twitter: "Everton have confirmed David Moyes will leave at the end of the season. He did a wonderful job and he too will be a tough act to follow."

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez is reportedly the favourite to replace Moyes at Goodison Park.
