Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti reportedly decides to axe Gylfi Sigurdsson after losing patience with the midfielder.

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly decided to axe Gylfi Sigurdsson after losing patience with the midfielder.

The Iceland international, who joined the Toffees for £45m from Swansea City in 2017, only has 18 months left on his contract.

Sigurdsson was part of the Everton side that lost 1-0 to an extremely young Liverpool team in the FA Cup third round over the weekend.

According to The Sun, Ancelotti has already given up on the 30-year-old, with other players fighting for their place in the team as well.

The report claims that Ancelotti launched an angry tirade at his players in the dressing room at Anfield following what was a wasteful performance.
