Martin Jol: 'Darren Bent will succeed at Fulham'

Fulham manager Martin Jol is confident that Darren Bent will enjoy a good season with the club while he is on loan from Aston Villa.

Fulham boss Martin Jol has claimed that Darren Bent will enjoy a good season with the club while he is on loan at Craven Cottage.

The striker, who is due to return to Aston Villa at the end of the campaign, scored the winning goal in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Stoke City in the Premier League.

The 29-year-old has now found the net three times in seven appearances for Fulham.

"Players always have a good season if they are with me and Bent will have a good season," Goal.com quotes Jol as saying. "Sometimes he can't start but my intentions are to use Bent and get the best out of him."

Fulham return to action on October 21 when they travel to Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
