Fulham boss Martin Jol reveals that he is pleased to have reached the 40-point mark this season following draw with Aston Villa.

Fulham boss Martin Jol has admitted that he is happy to have guided his side to the 40-point mark following their draw with Aston Villa.

The Cottagers came from behind to earn a point at Villa Park as Fabian Delph turned the ball into his own net which cancelled out Charles N'Zogbia's strike.

Jol told the club's official website: "Today was a test for us to try to get a result. Of course, Villa do well and, hopefully for them, with their philosophy, with all these youngsters, they will stay up.

"I say hopefully for them because I've got a few managers who are at good clubs who want to stay up as well, but I think the future is theirs.

"I'm a happy customer that we've got 40 points, and other results were okay for us today so that is fantastic."

Fulham are now 10th in the Premier League and are nine points clear of the relegation zone.
