Leicester City have reportedly opened negotiations with Monaco over a possible £20m deal for midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Under-fire boss Claude Puel is believed to have been granted funds to strengthen his squad in the closing days of the transfer window.
The Foxes have been weighing up a move for Tielemans and now appear to be ready to lodge a formal offer.
Sky Sports News suggests that talks between Leicester and Monaco are underway, with the Belgium international - an important squad player in his national side's run to the World Cup semi-finals last summer - keen on a move to the Premier League.
Tielemans made the breakthrough at Anderlecht at the age of 16 before making the switch to Monaco in 2017, boasting five Ligue 1 goals and an assist in his second campaign at the Stade Louis II.
Speaking last summer, the 21-year-old revealed that he previously rejected a move to Arsenal because of concerns over playing time.
