Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's trip to title-chasing Liverpool - their first match for three weeks.

Tottenham Hotspur return to action for the first time since March 9 this weekend when they face a daunting trip to take on Liverpool at Anfield.

Spurs had been considered title contenders along with their hosts a little over a month ago, but just one point from their last four league games has left them in a battle to hold on to their top-four spot.

Only three points now separate Mauricio Pochettino's side from fifth-placed Manchester United, meaning that they could drop out of the Champions League spots should results go against them this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for the out-of form visitors.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S INJURY LIST

Eric Dier

Status: Ruled out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Eric Dier limped off during England's win over Czech Republic last week and it has since been confirmed that he will miss the clash with the Reds. Pochettino is confident that the issue is not serious, however, and does not expect him to miss more than a fortnight.

Harry Winks

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: March 31 (vs. Liverpool)

Harry Winks has had more than three weeks to recover from the hip injury which forced him off against Borussia Dortmund, and while he remains a doubt for this match he is expected to be in contention.

Serge Aurier

Possible return date: March 31 (vs. Liverpool)

Serge Aurier lasted just 30 minutes of Ivory Coast's win over Rwanda on Saturday before limping off with a hamstring injury which could keep him sidelined for a couple of weeks depending on the severity of it.
