Sadio Mane reportedly tells Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp that he will be fit for this weekend's match following an injury scare while playing for Senegal.

Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane is reportedly fit for this weekend's Premier League clash against Leicester City, despite fears that he suffered an injury while on international duty with Senegal.

The 24-year-old played 60 minutes of his nation's 2-0 win over Namibia at the weekend, but was withdrawn as a precaution.

According to The Telegraph, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was concerned about his £30m summer signing, so opted to call him directly on Sunday to learn of the problem.

It is believed that Mane eased the German's fears by insisting that he is fit to play this Saturday in the Reds' first match of the season at Anfield since the redevelopment.

Mane, who scored in Liverpool's 4-3 win over Arsenal on the opening day of the season, reported for training at Melwood this morning.
