Sunday's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup: Joe Gomez, Davinson Sanchez, Kylian Mbappe

Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Liverpool on Sunday, November 15.

The summer transfer window has now closed and attention will begin to turn to January for Premier League champions Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's side brought in Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota and Kostas Tsimikas during the summer, making for one of their busier transfer windows in the last couple of years.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Anfield.

Sunday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:

Liverpool 'make contact with Davinson Sanchez'

Liverpool have allegedly contacted the representatives of Tottenham Hotspur's Davinson Sanchez to express an interest in signing the central defender.

The Premier League champions have lost both Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez to long-term knee injuries, meaning that a new centre-back is expected to arrive at Anfield during the January transfer window.

A recent report claimed that the Reds had identified RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano as their leading target, but the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United are also said to be in the hunt for the Frenchman.

According to reports in Spain, Liverpool are also keen on Sanchez and have already made contact with the Colombia international to register their interest.

The 24-year-old has made 126 appearances for Spurs since arriving from Ajax in 2017 but has largely struggled to hold down a starting role on a consistent basis.

The South American, who has a contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until June 2024, has not even made the squad for his team's last three Premier League matches.

Jose Mourinho's side are thought to value the defender in the region of €60m (£54m).

Real Madrid 'expect to sign Kylian Mbappe for £161m'

Real Madrid are reportedly confident of signing Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe in a €180m (£161m) deal next summer providing that the Frenchman does not sign a new deal in Paris.

The 21-year-old has scored 97 times and registered 58 assists in 132 appearances for PSG since arriving from Monaco, including seven goals and seven assists in eight outings this term.

Madrid are believed to view Mbappe as a key part of their rebuild, while Liverpool have also been strongly linked with the France international in recent months.

The World Cup winner's existing deal with Thomas Tuchel's side will expire in June 2022, and according to AS, Madrid are confident of signing him in a €180m (£161m) deal next summer.

The report, though, says that a move is likely to rely on whether PSG can tie the forward to a new contract.

Mbappe has allegedly already turned down three offers from Les Parisiens to renew his deal.
