Martin Keown impressed with Steven Gerrard

Martin Keown praises Steven Gerrard for his performance for England in their 1-0 defeat to Germany on Tuesday evening.

Martin Keown feels that England captain Steven Gerrard "has everything" and praised him for his performance in their defeat to Germany on Tuesday evening.

The former Arsenal defender watched at Wembley in the Three Lions' 1-0 loss to Joachim Low's side, and he was impressed with the Liverpool midfielder's contribution.

"[Steven Gerrard] has everything," Keown told the Daily Mail. "I was sitting near some Germany fans and they were really impressed with the England captain.

"He covered so much ground, set the pace for his team, played quick passes forward and almost scored with a first-half effort from outside the box.

"Would any England player get into the Germany team? Steven Gerrard would."

England have lost back-to-back games during the international break.
