Liverpool have scored at least two goals in 18 straight games at Anfield in all competitions - the longest run of home games with more than one goal scored in succession by an English top-flight club since Sunderland did so in 19 games from February-December 1935.
The Reds marched to a comfortable 2-0 win against Newcastle United on Wednesday night, with goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister enough to earn a victory.
Arne Slot's side are now 13 points ahead of second-placed Arsenal following the Gunners' 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest on the same day.
The win was also their 17th triumph at Anfield under boss Slot in just 20 games at home, with the team's only defeat coming against Nottingham Forest on September 14, 2024.
Liverpool have scored 21 goals and conceded just six times in their last eight matches at Anfield, and have beaten the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayer Leverkusen on Merseyside this season already.

What could Liverpool achieve this season?
Liverpool only have 10 games left to play in the Premier League this season, but with six of their 10 fixtures set to be played at Anfield, it is difficult to see them dropping many points at home.
The Reds only need to win their next seven matches in the league to confirm their status as domestic champions, with victory against Chelsea on May 3 being the result that could clinch the Premier League trophy.
Given Liverpool boast such a commanding lead at the top of the table, the Merseysiders may soon be able to turn their attention to other competitions.
Slot's side will take on Newcastle in the EFL Cup final on March 16, and considering the nature of their win on Wednesday, the Dutchman's team should be seen as strong favourites.
Elsewhere, Liverpool are set to play Paris Saint-Germain across two legs in their Champions League round of 16 clash, and though the French champions will pose a challenge, they have at times struggled in Europe this campaign.
The Reds were eliminated from the FA Cup by Plymouth Argyle when they lost 1-0 against the Championship club on February 9, but fans will care little if Slot can get the team over the line in the Premier League.
