Liverpool wing king Mohamed Salah will be chasing another personal milestone when the Reds square up to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
The 32-year-old both scored and set up a goal for the 11th time in the 2024-25 Premier League season over the weekend, as the Reds took a giant step towards title glory with their 2-0 triumph over Manchester City.
Salah now needs just one effort in midweek to score at least 10 both home and away for a third different Premier League season, a feat only Harry Kane has managed in the past.
The former Chelsea man will most likely operate in an attack reinforced by Cody Gakpo, who came off the bench at the Etihad after recovering from a knock and could now provide some useful height against Dan Burn.
Gakpo may therefore be deployed as the central striker as Luis Diaz continues on the left, while Curtis Jones may be preferred over Dominik Szoboszlai purely on the basis that the Hungarian was utterly exhausted at full time on Sunday.
However, Arne Slot is unlikely to consider any alterations further back, as Liverpool have the upcoming weekend off due to their early FA Cup exit, meaning that Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister - expected to be fine despite a blow to the face - should be stationed in front of an unchanged rearguard.
Only Conor Bradley (hamstring), Joe Gomez (hamstring) and Tyler Morton (shoulder) will miss out through injury for the league leaders.
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Jones, Diaz; Gakpo
