Liverpool injury, suspension news and return dates for Newcastle: Alexis Mac Allister, Conor Bradley, Joe Gomez latest

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.

After clearing another major hurdle in the Premier League title race, Liverpool hope to maintain their astounding 11-point lead in Wednesday's home fixture against Newcastle United.

Arne Slot's men came, saw and conquered at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening, slaying current champions Manchester City 2-0 thanks to Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah's first-half strikes.

Courtesy of their win and Arsenal slipping up at home to West Ham United, the Reds' lead at the top of the table has stretched into the double figures, although a striker-starved Gunners side do have a game in hand.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Newcastle, who held off a late Nottingham Forest fightback to triumph 4-3 in Sunday's spectacular contest.

Alexis Mac Allister

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Face
Possible return date: February 26 (vs. Newcastle)

Alexis Mac Allister sustained a black eye in Liverpool's win at Man City, but he has trained as normal since and should be available.

Conor Bradley

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 2 (vs. Everton)

After Slot claimed that there was a "99.9%" chance that Conor Bradley would not face Man City, the right-back was unsurprisingly unavailable due to the hamstring injury he suffered against Aston Villa; he is now confirmed to be sidelined for a few more weeks.

Joe Gomez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Fellow defender and hamstring victim Joe Gomez has now undergone surgery on the injury he picked up in Liverpool's FA Cup fourth-round loss to Plymouth Argyle, and the Englishman is fighting an uphill battle to return before the end of the season.

Tyler Morton

Status: Out
Type of injury: Shoulder
Possible return date: Unknown

Tyler Morton is facing a few more weeks out with the shoulder injury he recently sustained, although he is only on the fringes of Slot's first team anyway.
