Liverpool are considering the departures of six first-team players before the 11pm deadline on August 31, according to a report.

Liverpool will consider the departures of six first-team players before the 11pm deadline on August 31, according to a report.

Georginio Wijnaldum, Xherdan Shaqiri, Harry Wilson and Taiwo Awoniyi have already left the club permanently, while Ben Davies, Marko Grujic and Ben Woodburn have secured loan moves elsewhere.

Even though several players have returned from long-term injuries, restoring Jurgen Klopp's side to full strength, the German head coach is now looking to refine his squad before Tuesday's deadline.

According to the Daily Mirror, at least six players who are now considered surplus to requirements could be set for the exit door.

Young defenders Rhys Williams and Neco Williams are rated highly by the Reds, who will look to loan both players out this summer.

However, Divock Origi, Loris Karius, Nat Phillips and Sheyi Ojo are all unlikely to feature in the first team this season and will be allowed to leave permanently if their respective valuations are met.
