Liverpool 'open to offers for Nathaniel Clyne'

Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne will be available for purchase during the January transfer window, according to a report.

Liverpool are reportedly prepared to sell Nathaniel Clyne during the January transfer window.

The defender was strongly linked with a move away from Anfield ahead of the 2019-20 campaign but ultimately remained on Merseyside having suffered a serious knee injury.

The Englishman is entering the latter stages of his recovery from the cruciate ligament injury, though, and according to Sky Sports News, he will return to training in January.

The report claims that Clyne is not in the plans of head coach Jurgen Klopp, however, with Liverpool open to offers for the right-back at the start of 2020.

The 28-year-old has made over 100 appearances for the Reds in all competitions but has not been a regular since the 2016-17 campaign and spent the second half of last season on loan at Bournemouth.

Clyne's current deal with the European Cup holders will expire next summer.
