How Manchester City could line up against Olympiacos

Sports Mole looks at how Manchester City could line up for Wednesday's Champions League meeting with Olympiacos.

Manchester City can book a place in the last 16 of the Champions League on Wednesday with two games to spare should they overcome Olympiacos.

The Citizens have won all three Group C matches thus far, including a 3-0 victory over the Greek champions in the reverse fixture three weeks ago.

However, Pep Guardiola's men lost 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at the weekend as their slow start to the domestic campaign continued.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how City could line up for the clash in Piraeus.

City may be in complete control of the group, but Guardiola will want to make certain of a place in the knockout rounds at the earliest possible opportunity.

Not many changes are expected to be made, then, but Raheem Sterling is in contention to return after coming on in the second half of the defeat to Tottenham.

Star striker Sergio Aguero was left on the bench for the full 90 minutes on Saturday but is another who could return, with the Argentina international in need of minutes.

Ferran Torres may be given a breather by Guardiola, though if he does play he will be out to become just the third City player to score in his first four Champions League games.

With Nathan Ake still not fully fit, meanwhile, and makeshift centre-back Fernandinho also still on the comeback trail, Aymeric Laporte and Ruben Dias should remain in place at the back.
