How Manchester United could line up against Juventus

Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up for Tuesday night's Champions League clash with Juventus at Old Trafford.

Manchester United will welcome Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford when Juventus visit in Group H of the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils have won just one of their last six matches across all competitions, but could leapfrog the Italian giants at the top of the group with a win at Old Trafford.

Improved displays in their last two outings have helped to lift the gloom around the club, although United have not yet managed to win successive matches in front of their own fans this season.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the hosts could line up as they attempt to achieve that feat.

Out: Jesse Lingard (groin), Marcos Rojo (knock), Diogo Dalot (knock)
Doubtful: Scott McTominay (knee), Marouane Fellaini (groin)

Jose Mourinho is likely to keep changes to a minimum following his side's display against Chelsea on Saturday, although he could bring in one or two players to keep things fresh.

Alexis Sanchez is pushing for a start after beginning the last two games on the bench, with Marcus Rashford the most likely to make way from the front three.

Anthony Martial's brace at Stamford Bridge means that he has scored three times in his last two games for United, whereas Romelu Lukaku has now gone seven games without a goal for the club.

In midfield, Juan Mata's performance against his former club at the weekend should earn him another start alongside Nemanja Matic and former Juve midfielder Paul Pogba.

Club captain Antonio Valencia has been absent without explanation from the past two squads but could return for this one in place of Ashley Young.
