Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has said that Anthony Martial has a chance of returning from injury in Sunday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.
The France international has already had hamstring and Achilles issues this season, while he picked up a back problem during the 2-1 win over Everton in the league last weekend.
The injury forced him to miss out against Omonia in the Europa League on Thursday night, but Ten Hag has said that the attacker could potentially be back on the field against the Magpies.
"I can't say in this moment. It's too early to say something about that. We have to wait, we have to see how it progresses in the coming hours," Ten Hag told MUTV.
"Of course, we hope he will be available but if not, we do it with other players because it's always about the players who are available and we have a good squad, as you see, and also subs can make a difference.

"If he is not available, then we have to do it with other players. We will have 20 in the squad and they have to win this game."
Despite his limited game time, Martial has impressed this season, finding the back of the net on three occasions in four appearances for the Red Devils, in addition to providing two assists.
Ten Hag was also asked about Harry Maguire in his press conference, with the England captain picking up a hamstring injury during the recent international break.
The centre-back will again be unavailable for selection against Newcastle, but he is expected to be back in full first-team training over the next week.
"Harry Maguire will not make this, but it doesn't take long, I think. [Will Harry be another couple of weeks?] No, no, no. I think that next week he will be back in the team training or over the next week," said Ten Hag.

The 29-year-old is expected to be named in the England squad for the World Cup despite his struggles.
However, the defender faces a battle to reclaim his spot in Man United's first XI, with Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez forming an impressive partnership in his absence.
Victor Lindelof has been used of late due to an ankle injury for Varane, but the former Real Madrid defender is expected to be back in the starting side against Newcastle.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Brandon Williams, Axel Tuanzebe and Donny van de Beek are still on the sidelines through injury, while Scott McTominay is suspended for the Red Devils this weekend.
On-loan goalkeeper Martin Dubravka will also be unavailable against his parent club, while Mason Greenwood remains suspended by the 20-time English champions until further notice.
