Eric Cantona: 'Manchester United will bounce back'

Manchester United legend Eric Cantona is confident that the team will recover from their recent setbacks "very soon".

Manchester United legend Eric Cantona has insisted that the team will recover from their recent setbacks "very soon".

The Red Devils are currently languishing in seventh place in the Premier League table, 18 points behind leaders Chelsea, following Tuesday's 3-0 defeat at home to Manchester City.

Despite a string of disappointing results during David Moyes's first season in charge at Old Trafford, Cantona is confident that they will return to the summit of English football sooner rather than later.

"Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world. They have been at the highest level for 20 years, and I think they will come back very, very soon," he told Sky Sports News.

"At every big club it is sometimes like this, but they have proved in the past they have the level to come back and I'm sure Manchester United will come back very soon."

Cantona won four Premier League titles and two FA Cups with United before retiring in 1997.
