Aston Villa midfielder Tom Cleverley believes that Roy Keane's influence could help him to get back into the England squad.
Keane, who is now assistant to Villa boss Paul Lambert, is working with Cleverley during his season-long loan from Manchester United.
Cleverley, who has been criticised by some England supporters in the past, has been left out of Roy Hodgson's squad for the Euro 2016 qualifiers against San Marino and Estonia.
"Roy is demanding. He's trying to add things into my game that I know I can do," Cleverley told the Daily Star.
"He's pushing me to my limits and hopefully we can get that extra couple more per cent. When things need saying, he says them. At United you're told to play the right way and sometimes last year maybe I was being too much of a perfectionist.
"Sometimes you can take a few more risks which are needed to win games. That's a side of my game which Roy and the manager are getting back."
Cleverley has won 13 caps for England.
