Chelsea appear to have won the race to sign Ajax teenager Daishawn Redan after he was pictured holding a Blues shirt.

It has previously been reported that both Chelsea and Manchester United were keen on the 16-year-old forward, who has impressed in the Dutch side's youth setup.

However, a picture of Redan holding a Chelsea shirt has surfaced online, leading to suggestions that he has already agreed a deal with the West Londoners.

It has been suggested that Redan will be unveiled among other Academy signings later in the week as Chelsea make additions to their youth squads.

Redan has scored a total of 21 goals in 29 appearances in Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 football.
